Jean Hartig contributes another lost bird.

update: two coworkers and i captured the injured bird (i picked it up with two canvas bags on my hands) and we are taking it to a sanctuary later today. the construction workers who placed cones around the bird (<3 <3 <3) were there for moral support. the seagull is currently in a box in our advertising office.

2/24 Update: They’ve named him Chekov.

2/25 Update:

Chekhov had a wing that was broken in two places. Seagulls are evidently the only species of bird that cannot survive without use of both wings, and their wing bones cannot heal from a break. Chekhov was put to a peaceful rest yesterday by the amazing ladies at NYC’s Wild Bird Fund.
