A woman walking with cane accidentally brushed up against me while about the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” exhibit at the MET. I smiled at her to communicate an I’m sorry/It’s okay. She said, “If you want to go on a diet, wear this” and pointed up to one of the Guido Palau masks.

A friend telling me about her echocardiogram
yesterday, i watched my heart and i cried all through the echo. it is like a little mouth with its beating. whooom whooom whooom, it says, and i wanted to hug it and say, beat forever! little hungry heart.

The first dinner is an early dinner set for June 4th at 4pm. Monica is traveling from out of state and I have promised Filipino food.
The menu is still being finalized, but the main dish will either be a version of chicken adobo or ginataang gulay (vegetables in coconut milk).
